Stephen Wyborn appointed director at Grant Thornton in Cambridge
Grant Thornton has announced the appointment of Stephen Wyborn as a Director in the firm’s Cambridge-based team. Wyborn arrives at Grant Thornton after two decades with a Big Four professional services firm.

Grant Thornton’s Cambridge office provides a range of services to help clients accomplish their business goals. It’s 100 strong Cambridgeshire team works closely with regional, national and international colleagues. Now, the firm has strengthened its Cambridge-based Audit practice with the appointment of Wyborn as a Director.

Wyborn arrives following a 21-year stint with PwC. During his time at the Big Four accounting and advisory firm, Wyborn rose to the role of Senior Manager, and developed particular expertise working with mid-market listed businesses and private equity backed scale-ups. In his new role he joins the leadership team overseeing the firm’s Cambridgeshire audit practice with a remit focused on audit quality and client service.
The news is the latest senior addition to Grant Thornton’s expanding Cambridge office, following the recruitment of corporate finance Partner Mike Tillson in January. More broadly meanwhile, the last six months the firm has created 30 new roles across East Anglia, increasing its headcount to 123 in the region.
