PA Consulting has named Rachel Hugo as its new Global Lead for Aerospace, Industrials and Manufacturing. Hugo joins from KPMG, where she spent the last four years in a similar role.

PA Consulting’s aerospace, industrial and manufacturing wing sees teams of strategists, innovators, technologists and engineers work with clients around the world to help future-proof their operations. This sees them collaborating on new business models, ways to keep costs down and revenue up, or slicker production processes, as well as speeding up the flow of new ideas, making products more sustainable or pinpointing production bottlenecks.

Hugo brings a quarter-century of experience to the firm, having worked in multiple industries, including aerospace, telecommunications, technology, consumer goods, energy and automotive, and has created and led multi-functional and multi-cultural teams. Most recently, she was Global Lead Partner in Aerospace, Industrials and Technology for Big Four firm KPMG, and was responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-wide growth strategy and transformation programmes across the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Europe and India.

Prior to life with KPMG, Hugo founded and ran a boutique advisory business for a decade, specialising in advanced industries and technology and was on the leadership team of an industry-owned strategy consulting firm. Earlier in her career, she also spent three years at Capgemini Invent, working with clients to launch new technologies rapidly into market, and led a multinational team at Eastman Kodak.
