Global M&A consultancy GCA Altium has promoted four of its senior company members in Manchester and London to the next level.

David Edwards and Dominic Orsini have both become Managing Directors in Manchester. Since joining GCA Altium in 2012, Orsini has been involved in a number of high-profile software and tech-enabled services transactions. During the last six months he has advised on the secondary buyouts of Mobysoft from Livingbridge and CIPHR from LDC, as well as on Eque2 securing investment from WestBridge.

Edwards has been with GCA Altium since 2009, and over the last 12 years has established a leading role in deal origination at the firm. He now leads a national function focusing on sourcing and securing new transactions across the UK and internationally and has been responsible for originating transactions across a range of sectors including technology, digital media, e-commerce and business services.

Tom Battersby and Declan O’Connor have meanwhile been promoted to Director, based in Manchester and London respectively. Battersby has completed a wide variety of deals since joining GCA Altium in 2014, across both buy-side and sell-side M&A and private equity transactions, as well as carve outs and public company.

During his nine years with the firm, O’Connor has focused on technology transactions, advising both private equity and corporate clients across a range of deal types.

Elsewhere within the firm’s UK team, GCA Altium also promoted Matthew Furness and Gabrielle Worrall in Manchester, and Jamie Noble in London.

Phil Adams, the Chief Executive of GCA Altium, said: “With our Managing Director and Director promotions involving individuals that have been at the firm for nearly a decade or more, this evidences our fantastic company culture, and I look forward to building on this with each of them in their new roles.”

In 2020, GCA Altium’s 500-strong team completed over 160 transactions worldwide across its 25 offices offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
