Mercer consulting partner of software association PSIA
The Philippine Software Industry Association has signed an agreement to have Mercer become its consulting partner for talent initiatives in the technology industry. Under the aegis of the partnership, Mercer will undertake in-depth quarterly talent research and work with PSIA’s more than 146 member companies.
Established in 1988, the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) is a non-profit organisation aimed in promoting the Philippines as the preferred choice for software development and IT services. As part of realising its vision, PSIA has created a network of businesses and consultancies that can support it with the execution of research and the implementation of projects.
Last month the Manilla-based association announced it had added Mercer – one of the globe’s largest HR consultancies – to its portfolio of external advisors. As a consulting partner, Mercer will help PSIA develop greater insight into the people-related issues crucial to enhancing the Philippine Software Industry. Under the aegis of this partnership, Mercer will undertake in-depth quarterly talent research and work with PSIA’s more than 146 member companies in developing actionable insights to improve human resources in the IT and Software Development industry.
“We are very excited and proud to partner with PSIA and look forward to bringing Mercer’s market-leading expertise in talent consulting to bear in the rapidly-evolving Philippine software industry,” says Godelieve van Dooren, Mercer’s Market Business Leader ASEAN, Information Solutions.
Jonathan De Luzuriaga, President of the PSIA, comments: “PSIA is delighted to have Mercer come on board as our consulting partner. This partnership will be a catalyst for growth and we are always looking for ways to bring forth world-class research to our member companies, to help them expand into global markets. This partnership is another positive step in that direction.”
