Deloitte reports record revenues in Belgium despite crisis
Despite the difficult economic climate in Belgium, Deloitte has achieved record sales. The Big4 firm realized a turnover of €334 million, an increase of 6% ​​compared to the 2010/2011 financial year. All business activities - Audit, Tax, Financial Advisory Services and Consulting - achieved higher net sales.
"Despite the economic uncertainty, we continue to perform well and we have successfully resealed the year," says Rik Vanpeteghem, CEO of Deloitte Belgium. "For the second year in a row, we recorded strong growth in all our business activities. Similarly, the demand for different services such as data and risk management, valuations, due diligence, global tax compliance and financial resources outsourcing remained high".
Revenue growth expected through acquisitions
"For the new year, we aspire to a growth of 9% to €363 million" says Rik Vanpeteghem. "This growth is made ​​possible thanks to several acquisitions earlier this year, strengthening our offerings in the strategic business area. Our expertise in business intelligence and analytics further increased by integrating Numius, which was included in the information management service line of our consulting department. Also, our presence in the region of Brussels and Liege was strengthened by the integration of Integrated Consultancy Services (ICS) and Equidex our Fiduciary Department".
Attracting Talent
The CEO stressed that attracting and retaining talent remains a top priority. This fall, the consulting firm is recruiting approximately 300 junior staff. And is adding another 275 experienced profiles next year
