Redington appoints Andrew Drake and Nick Horsfall as Managing Directors

Redington has appointed Andrew Drake and Nick Horsfall as Managing Directors in its investment consulting team, as part of business expansion. The duo brings more than 50 years of experience to the firm between them.

Founded in 2006 by Robert Gardner and Dawid Konotey-Ahulu, Redington is an independent investment consultancy, working with pension funds and other long-term savings institutions to solve their biggest problems. As pension pots and savings schemes face an uncertain 2021, with volatile markets making long-term investment decisions especially tough, the firm has moved to beef up its investment consulting team with two senior hires: Andrew Drake and Nick Horsfall.

Andrew Drake brings more than 25 years of experience to Redington. Most recently, he was a Partner at PwC, working with institutional investors and responsible for the UK pensions investment consultancy business. Earlier in his career, he was also head of UK solutions at Morgan Stanley, and co-founded River & Mercantile Solutions, among other roles.

Nick Horsfall meanwhile joins from Asset Management Exchange, where we was a member of the firm’s advisory board. Prior to this he was Managing Director in Willis Towers Watson’s investment practice, where he worked for more than 30 years.

They will join be joining a strong team of investment consultants who are motivated to help Redington’s growing client-base navigate the increasingly complex investment decisions they need to make to secure the best possible outcomes for their members. According to a release from the firm, the pair will help achieve Redington's target of helping to make 100 million people in the UK financially secure.
