Protiviti opens new office in Belgian capital Brussels

Protiviti, an international financial consulting firm specializing in risk management and IT consulting, has opened an office in Belgium. The office, located in the Belgian capital of Brussels, will be led by Marc Vael. The experienced consultant, currently Director of Information Protection Services at KPMG, will leave the Big4 firm to become Managing Director at Protiviti Belgium.

Protiviti has more than 40 offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The consulting firm has grown rapidly in the European market the last few years. Early last year, it opened an office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The new Managing Director, Marc Vael, previously worked at KPMG for five years. Prior to the Big 4 firm he worked for IBM (four years) and Arthur Andersen (seven years). He is also a board member of the Association of IT governance professionals ISACA.
