Elixirr acquires digital marketing firm Coast Digital
In another milestone since its public listing, Elixirr has acquired Coast Digital, expanding its digital marketing and design capabilities.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Coast Digital to the Elixirr team,” said Stephen Newton, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elixirr. “This marks the next step in our ambitious growth plans and enables us to support clients in all aspects of digital marketing – something more important than ever in the current market.”
A digital presence was already one of the top priorities for executives across industries pre-Covid-19, and its importance has since taken off as organisations seek to digitise their client/consumer services to meet changing customer demands, while digitising their own operations to provide a seamless experience.
Elixirr’s digital marketing and creative practice focuses on supporting clients with their digital aspirations, from developing marketing strategies and improving processes and capabilities, to creative services such as design-led website/app blueprints and the development of solutions.
This expansion builds on the 2017 acquisition of Den Creative, and now sees Coast Digital’s UK based team of around 50 designers, marketers, creatives, communications and digital experts join its ranks. Founded in 2002 by James Frost and led by CEO David Wharram, Coast Digital is an award-winning firm in its field, having recently won 2020 Drum Recommends for ‘Web Design’, ‘Web Development’ and ‘Usability’.
“Coast Digital’s expertise will be highly complementary to the quality service Den Creative already provides. Their capabilities will be hugely beneficial to many of Elixirr’s clients,” said Newton.
A House of Brands
The move is part of Elixirr’s ‘House of Brands’ strategy, which aims to provide its clients with an end-to-end service in a number of business topics, including strategy, operations, risk & regulation and strategic sourcing. “We aim to provide a curated selection of premium business services, all in one place,” explained the chief executive.
Meanwhile, for Coast Digital, the joining of forces will see the firm benefit from a broader full-service capability to better serve its clients and an added roster of high-profile clients, while accelerating its own growth.
Coast Digital’s Chief Executive Officer David Wharram, said: “The platform they can offer to our business is unique, and allows us to retain what has made Coast Digital the firm it is today, while dramatically opening our potential market reach. We are excited to be starting this next stage of our journey.”
An international management consultancy, Elixirr has teams in the UK, the US, South Africa and Australia.
