EY appoints Alexandra Fogal as Associate Partner
Senior corporate banking specialist Alexandra Fogal has joined Big Four firm EY. As Associate Partner, Fogal will lead EY’s private business across Yorkshire and the North East.
Speaking on her appointment, Fogal commented, “I’ve been working with businesses across Yorkshire all my career, and after years of corporate banking experience, I know the challenges that businesses right across the region are facing when it comes to growth. I’m really excited to start this new role and help private businesses of all shapes and sizes with their growth aspirations by combining my network and knowledge of the local market with EY’s strengths and depth of expertise.”
Fogal’s arrival expands EY’s presence in the North East and Yorkshire, in a new role which sees her developing and maintaining relationships with owner-managed, AIM-listed and private equity-backed businesses across the region. As Associate Partner heading up EY’s private business across the region, she will also be tasked with supporting both the immediate and future growth aspirations of clients.
Prior to joining the Big Four firm, Fogal racked up 17 years of business advisory and corporate banking experience. Having initially assisted relationships with key accounts and private clients in Yorkshire with Barclays Corporate Banking, Fogal became a Relationship Director for the bank in the county in 2009, covering larger corporate companies with a turnover size upwards of £40 million.
During her almost two decades at Barclays, Fogal also worked hard to expand the representation of women in corporate culture. To this end, she established and managed the national Women in Business Awards, which ran for six years raising £50,000 for local charities and recognising the outstanding contributions made by female leaders across the country. Additionally, Fogal led the Barclays’ Women Network, while sitting on the bank’s national diversity and inclusion board.
