EY buys Manufacturing Intelligence firm Entegreat
EY has acquired the systems consulting and integration business of Manufacturing Intelligence firm Entegreat. The addition of the Entegreat’s advanced analytics expertise, will, according to the firm, boost its smart manufacturing services.
Founded in 2000, Entegreat is a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and software provider that specialises in operational excellence & energy and water management. The firm provides consulting, systems architecture, and implementation of complex manufacturing information systems to its clients in manufacturing industries to help them optimise their production without sacrificing future resources. The firm has three corporate offices - in the US, Canada and Costa Rica - as well as a presence in 17 other locations.
To boosts its smart manufacturing services, professional services firm EY decided to acquire the systems consulting and integration business of Entegreat. As part of the deal, EY will also obtain the exclusive, perpetual license to Proficy Health Monitor. This software has been developed by Entegreat to provide performance insight into clients’ manufacturing environments.
According to EY, the addition of Entegreat will not only boost its manufacturing consulting skills, it will also help it meet the evolving needs of clients for real-time actionable analytics that allow them to improve efficiency. “The investments we make today will continue to help shape the Advisory practice of tomorrow,” explains Greg Jenko, the EY Americas Advisory Lead for Digital and Emerging Technology. “By working closely with our clients, we can create a more nimble, agile manufacturing industry and continue to live up to our purpose of building a better working world.”
