LanciaConsult attracts talent from larger rivals in the UK and Singapore

Business and tech consultancy LanciaConsult has recruited former Accenture consultant Ryan Chan to its Bristol office, with Hong Ngiap Lee also joining the firm in Singapore from Deloitte.

Global management and technology consultancy LanciaConsult has welcomed two new recruits to its offices in the UK and Singapore, with both making the mid-career switch from larger consulting firms. Ryan Chan joins Lancia as a Consultant in Bristol following a recent stint at Accenture, while Hong Ngiap Lee crosses from Deloitte Consulting to take up a role as a Senior Consultant in Lancia’s Singapore headquarters.

Ryan Chan

A BSc. honours graduate in Business Administration from the University of Bath, Chan kicked off his career as a Customer Service Advocate at Verizon, before scoring a placement as a Business Analyst at Accenture in London. He later joined the tech-minded consulting giant full time, serving clients in the telecoms, healthcare and aerospace sectors, including as a change management analyst for a UK Aerospace client.

During his time at Accenture, Chan has gained strong experience in requirements gathering and realising a client’s vision through deploying Agile teams both on and off-shore, while his keen interest in Technology and User Experience has also seen him involved in end-user training from field sales users through to C-suite clients. According to Chan, the opportunity to join a dynamic, close-knit consulting firm was a motivating factor.

“Having experienced large consultancies and the way they deliver for clients and their employees, I wanted to try a different way of working,” Chan stated of his move to the smaller firm, which has nevertheless stated its growth ambitions. “Lancia offered the ideal environment in which I could fully develop my skillset under the guidance of the team to enhance the value I bring for our clients. I look forward to my journey with Lancia.”

Hong Ngiap Lee

Meanwhile, LanciaConsult has also attracted talent from bigger players in Asia, with Hong Ngiap Lee joining the firm’s Singapore headquarters as a Senior Consultant after the past three years at Deloitte Consulting. While at Deloitte, Lee focused on engagements related to HR strategy, operating models, organisation design and effectiveness, and process optimisation. Prior to Deloitte, he spent time at EY and three years at Daimler.

“Both Ryan and Hong Ngiap join us at a time of exciting growth and opportunity for LanciaConsult, bringing with them fantastic experience from Accenture and Deloitte into our European and Asia teams,” said Lancia co-founder and group managing director Jeff Cronkshaw. “We continue to attract and build the very best consulting talent around the globe and it’s great to see them both joining us on the same day in the UK and Singapore!”

Despite the massive current disruption to the business realm and significant strain on the consulting industry, LanciaConsult has continued with its positive recruitment strategy since the outbreak of the global pandemic – making two key senior leadership appointments only last month. Simon Williams joined Lancia’s supervisory board as a non-executive director, while his predecessor Nic Norman-Smith was appointed as commercial managing director.
