Five top PR & communications consulting firms to work for
PRCA, the association for consultants in public relations and communications, has lauded five communications consultancies as best employers to work for.
With over 30,000 practitioners under its belt, across 60+ countries, the PRCA is the largest professional body of its kind for professionals in the public relations and communications domain. The organisation’s annual Workplace Champion awards celebrates the sector’s leading places to work, live and thrive.
Based on four key criteria, the independent jury selected the top PR & communications consulting firms to work across five categories. In the very small category (up to £500k turnover), Deryn Consulting – a public affairs agency in Wales founded in 2012 – managed to scoop the prize. Deryn Consulting brings together senior level, cross party experience in campaigning, government relations and politics in Wales.
The small agency workplace award (£500k to £1.5 million turnover) went to Liz Male Consulting, a specialist PR, communications and social media consultancy for clients in the UK construction, building, property, energy and environmental sectors. Liquid, a PR, design and marketing consultancy with offices in Birmingham, Guernsey, Jersey and London, was named the top medium-sized firm (£1.5 million to £2.5 million turnover) to work for.
APCO Worldwide, the winner in the large firm category (£2.5 million to £7.5 million turnover), is one of the globe’s larger PR & communications consulting firms, with offices in the US, Middle East and Asia alongside its London hub. Lansons, a full service consultancy specialised in corporate, media and political communications, is the top employer in the largest category, spanning firms with a turnover of more than £7.5 million.
According to data from PRCA, there are more than 4,700 public relations and communications firms in the United Kingdom. The number of firms with more than 50 employees stand at just over fifty.
