Benjamin Ensor joins financial services consultancy 11:FS
Expert Benjamin Ensor has joined consultancy 11:FS as a Director of Research. Ensor will lead the strategy and development of the existing research teams at 11:FS, scaling the firm’s research service and introducing new products.
11:FS is a consultancy which was launched in an effort to combine an innovative start-up mentality with some of the best experts in the financial services field. It has worked with the likes of NatWest’s Mettle business banking service, Standard Chartered, and other firms across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. It is also building its own modular banking infrastructure, 11:FS Foundry, to deliver a secure, digitally native banking proposition to scale and at speed, in association with Norway’s largest bank, DNB.
As the firm looks to ramp up the expansion of its offering, 11:FS has committed to strengthening its senior team. In March 2020, this saw the appointment of media, finance and technology veteran Jo Wright as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, who previously held executive finance leadership roles in media, technology, FinTech and e-commerce firms.
Now, 11:FS has announced that it is continuing its expansion, hiring former Forrester Vice President Benjamin Ensor as Director of Research. A highly experienced researcher and analyst, Ensor has more than two decades of experience advising leading financial services firms around the world about changing customer behaviour, changing market dynamics and the impact of digital technology on business strategy in financial services.
“Benjamin has a track record of delivering high quality research,” commented David M. Brear, Group CEO of 11:FS. “His experience, knowledge and vision for delivering exceptional value and insights, coupled to the amazing capabilities we already have in place will take our Research to the next level.”
Ensor spent the last 20 years working for Forrester Research, where he was latterly Vice President & Research Director. Research is integral to 11:FS, and is a fundamental element of how the firm defines and builds digital propositions, providing deep and actionable insight for client engagements. It includes the Jobs to be Done (JTBD) insights from Ryan Garner’s team of researchers and strategists and the complementary market analysis work undertaken by Sarah Kocianski’s team uncovering and explaining wider market trends.
Speaking about his new colleagues, Ensor said, “I’ve been impressed by the sophistication of the multi-disciplinary 11:FS approach to research and how it is deeply embedded into all of the client thinking and proposition development. To come in and help build on the great work Ryan and Sarah’s teams are delivering to 11:FS clients is exciting.”
