Analysis by the UK's association of management consulting firms has revealed a list of the the UK's top management consultants for 2020.

Data from the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) estimates that the UK's consulting industry employs over 80,000 professionals, of which around 94% are consultants and to the tune of 6% are supporting staff.

While consultants together work towards one goal – solving complex and pressing problems of their clients – competition among them is fierce, across a number of areas. On client side, they all want to work on the biggest and most impactful projects and win the top client work, and internally, they compete for roles of growing responsibility with many still dreaming of becoming a partner at their consultancy, as well as a higher salary and landing select perks such as office transfers, training and more.

Those consultants in UK's consulting industry that manage to outperform their peers are recognised annually in a competition by the MCA. The competition celebrates the excellence of consultants, placing the spotlights on individuals that for instance have delivered a stand out performance on a project, provided an exceptional contribution to thought leadership piece or supported the development of a new breakthrough offering/solution.

Following a due diligence on the track record of hundreds of management consultants – from experienced consultants such partners and directors to junior and graduate consultants – working at 60+ leading consulting firms, here are UK's top consultants across seven categories:
