David Moss, Jennifer Fountain and Jerry Theys join A&M in London
Alvarez & Marsal has confirmed the hire of three new experts in its London office. The firm welcomes Jennifer Fountain and Jerry Theys as Senior Directors, while David Moss arrives as a Managing Director.
With 4,500 staff in around 25 countries, Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) offers its clients debt restructuring solutions, insolvency, and creditor advisory services, among others. A&M is growing fast across its global operations, and alongside the launch of a number of new offices in the UK, it has also made a sustained effort to grow the strength and depth of its British headcount. The latest development of this kind has seen three senior appointments to the firm’s London locale.
Jerry Theys has joined the firm’s private equity performance improvement team as a Senior Director, bringing over 30 years of experience in industry and management consulting, with a focus on operations and cost improvement within the chemicals, plastics and floor covering industries. Prior to joining A&M, Theys was most recently employed by PwC, where he spent two years and most recently served as a Director in the firm’s deals division. In this role, he managed the ODD program and expanded services into performance improvement and synergy reviews.
Jennifer Fountain also arrives in the London office’s private equity services team as a Senior Director. She brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in industry and advisory roles to the firm. Fountain specialises in providing technology advice to private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Before joining A&M, she previously operated in senior roles in PE-backed tech companies, including Interim CTO for CPA Global and Head of Operations for Lynx Technology (now BT Group). In addition to her experience as an advisor, she has undertaken numerous transactions at the management level.
David Moss meanwhile arrives as Managing Director in A&M’s corporate transformation services for the second time in his career. Moss first worked at A&M in 2006, becoming a Managing Director before exiting the firm five years later to take on operational roles with Skype, Microsoft and 1insurer. Re-joining A&M, he brings more than 30 years of experience in operational turnaround and restructuring to the firm, both as a business leader and as an advisor. He will be working with Dhruv Sarda and Patrick Siebert, Managing Directors based in London and Hamburg, respectively.
Malcolm McKenzie, Managing Director and European Corporate Transformation Services practice lead, commented, “I am delighted to welcome David back to A&M. His expertise in digital and technology will be invaluable to our clients, and his appointment reaffirms A&M’s ability to adapt to clients’ needs and offer real insight, leadership and practical solutions to complex business issues.”
