Brian Zanker joins Mercer Investments in Australia
Mercer has in Australia appointed Brian Zanker to the newly created role of sales leader for investments and financial services.
Zanker has over 25 years of experience within the Financial Services industry. He joins Mercer Investments – the investment and wealth advisory unit of professional services firm Mercer, from National Australia Bank Group, where he was head of business development for JANA Investment Advisers, Plum Financial Services and MLC Group Insurance. Prior to that he worked for among others Finergy Solutions, Centric Wealth and AMP Financial Services. Zanker will report to Mercer managing director and market leader for the Pacific region Ben Walsh.
“Recent product and platform developments for Mercer have resulted in a significantly enhanced and scalable super fund administration and customer experience capability, and some very attractive investment products, and Brian’s addition to the team will help us communicate the value of these developments to potential new clients,” says Walsh.
He adds: “Competition within the super funds market has never been as fierce, and we have steadily and strategically been transforming our services to help our clients not only weather, but thrive, in this environment.” Among the new products are Mercer’s range of life-cycle funds and a longevity product that builds on the idea of a pooled survival fund or tontine.
