After a decade away at some of the world’s largest consulting firms, Carlo Gagliardi has returned to where it all began at Accenture. He re-joins as a Managing Director in Accenture Strategy, having most recently been a Partner with PA Consulting.

As the strategy-wing of multifaceted consultancy Accenture, Accenture Strategy combines deep industry expertise, advanced analytics capabilities and human-led design methodologies that enable clients to act with speed and confidence. As the firm looks to bolster its service line, amid growing demand, Accenture Strategy has confirmed the return of Carlo Gagliardi to its ranks.

Gagliardi brings almost 30 years of experience to the position, during which he has supported dozens of organisations in the private sector, spanning the telco, media, technology, utilities, energy, hospitality, retail & consumer, and industrial sectors. While this includes stints as a Partner at PA Consulting Group and PwC – as well as a spell as UK Digital Practice Lead for PwC’s own strategy arm Strategy& – Gagliardi began his consulting career with Accenture, and stated that he is thrilled to have come ‘home’.

Commenting on his personal LinkedIn profile, Gagliardi said, “I am delighted and excited to join Accenture Strategy as a Managing Director. Accenture is where I started my career many years ago, first in sunny Rome and then in beautiful London. Accenture is where I learnt the ropes of strategy consulting.”

He continued, “Accenture is the reason I met my wife. Accenture has given me so much in my personal and professional growth. It is a great feeling to be welcome back at my 'old firm', to meet so many people from my 'old days' and also so many new people.”

Gagliardi is also a well-known expert on digital topics – insights drawn from research he co-authored have been published in the Harvard Business Review and Financial Times. He works as a guest lecturer at Cass Business School, where he delivers sessions on digital transformation and disruption.

After posting his move on LinkedIn, Gagliardi has been overwhelmed by felicitations from colleagues and relations (over 500 likes and shares), leading Andy Hawkins, a Director at Kantar, to comment “Wow – I've never seen so many comments on a job move. Well deserved Carlo, you are loved and respected.”

Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez, Operations Director at Punter So, wrote “Congratulations Carlo, it was a privilege to work and learn from you. The firm is lucky to have you”, while Himanshu Raja, CFO of Countrywide and Gagliardi’s first client when he started his career in 1998, said “Hearty congratulations. Richly deserved.”
