KPMG appoints Jennifer Lee Senior Partner in Liverpool
Audit and advisory giant KPMG has appointed a new Senior Partner to its Liverpool office. Native Liverpudlian Jennifer Lee will begin in the role in November, as current incumbent Euan West moves to Leeds.
Merseyside is becoming an increasingly attractive proposition for the consulting industry, with a number of firms presently looking to grow their role in the region. At present, KPMG works with companies across Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales including B&M, Liverpool FC and the Contact Company. Boasting a headcount of around 100 professionals, KPMG’s Liverpool office is led by a Senior Partner and a 10-strong Director group.
As the consulting sector looks to benefit from the continuing Northern Powerhouse project, KPMG has announced the appointment of a new head for its Merseyside office. For the last two years, the role has been overseen by Euan West; however, his move to the company’s Leeds office will see Jennifer Lee step into the role at the start of November.
Lee said of her new role, "Liverpool is a city with a bright future given the diversity and strength of its business community and the clear vision of the LEP and local government. Our clients are incredibly ambitious and, with the support of the outstanding team we've developed, are well-placed to continue growing the regional economy at pace. It's my ambition that, as a firm, we take this unique opportunity to further deepen our relationships and support in the city while helping those around us to invest in growth both now and in the future."
Born in Liverpool, Lee has been based in the city throughout her career with the Big Four member, having joined KPMG in 2001 as a graduate. As a tax specialist, Lee will continue to advise clients across the city region's business community, while leading the firm’s multidisciplinary team operating from Princes Parade. She will work alongside Christine Hewson, the firm’s Chair in the North of England.
Hewson commented, "Jen is a home-grown success story within KPMG and is held in high regard by Liverpool's business leaders. Working alongside Euan and the rest of the firm's leadership team, she has been at the heart of many of our recent successes across Merseyside and now has the chance to shape the future of our business in the city."
