Mercer and Redington have managed to scoop a prestigious ‘European Pensions Award’ during the 2015-edition of the annual award ceremony held recently in London. Redington was named ‘Risk Management Firm of the Year’, while Mercer took home the award in the ‘European Pensions Consultancy of the Year’ as well as ‘European Pensions Personality of the Year’ category.
Every year European Pensions, a magazine and platform for pension decision makers, hosts the ‘European Pensions Award’. The competition recognises outstanding achievement in the varied fields of European pension provision, honouring the investment firms, consultancies and pension providers across Europe that have set the professional standards in order to best serve European pension funds.
This year hundreds of nominations from key providers across Europe were received, with the finalists invited to join a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on 25 June 2015 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. During the evening, the winners of the 28 different categories were announced. The big winners of the night were Insight Investment, State Street Global Advisers and Mercer, each scooping two awards.
Mercer, a global consulting and investment firm, was named ‘European Pensions Consultancy of the Year’, in addition Martine Ferland, Head of Mercer's Retirement Business for Europe & Pacific, won the ‘European Pensions Personality of the Year’ prize. The only other consultancy to take home an award was Redington, a UK-based investment consultant to pension funds and other long term savings institutions. Redington was named ‘Risk Management Firm of the Year’.
