Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has appointed Philip Staehelin as Managing Partner of its Prague office. The former Accenture and A.T. Kearney management consultant has been based in the Czech capital for more than two decades.

Philip Staehelin’s career has spanned a range of senior positions in the world of telecommunications, consulting and the financial sector. Most recently he served for four years as CEO of CCS (a division of FleetCor), the largest provider of fuel cards and telematics services in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Staehelin also launched a number of startups and was the pilot Executive in Residence for StartupYard, a seed accelerator for technology startups. He also served as a member of the Governing Board of Transparency International and as a member of the Supervisory Board at the Czech cable company NejTV.

Earlier in his career Staehelin, who has been based in Prague for more than two decades now, worked among others for consulting firms A.T. Kearney and Accenture, T-Mobile and UniCredit. He earned an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado (USA).

Staehelin has been tasked with growing Roland Berger’s footprint in the Czech Republic, a country where it has a strong track record – the consultancy opened its office in Prague in 1993 and since the branch, situated in the heart of the city, has grown to become one of the leading strategy consulting firms in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
