Stuart Lotherington and Alan Morton lead SBR Consulting
SBR Consulting, a consultancy specialised in sales performance, has appointed new leadership. Stuart Lotherington and Alan Morton have both been elevated to the role of Managing Directors, succeeding retiring founder Lars Tewes.
Founded in 2002, SBR Consulting is a specialist sales performance consultancy. The firm has around 25 consultants, and a delivery team entirely consisting of authentic sales practitioners. It focuses exclusively on the end-to-end sales journey and works to deliver practical solutions to help clients grow. Among the businesses SBR has helped, clients include a number of consulting industry figures, such as CIL Management Consultants, Ayming, Gate One, Moorhouse, Arup and Analysis Mason.
Since its launch, SBR has been run by its founder, Lars Tewes. A former District Sales Manager for the Southwestern Company – an employee-owned collection of more than 20 different operating companies, of which SBR remains a part – Tewes has been Managing Director of the consultancy from the beginning. After 17 years at the helm, however, Tewes has decided the time is right to step down and retire.
He will be succeeded by UK-based duo Stuart Lotherington and Alan Morton, who will co-run the firm as Managing Directors of SBR. Long-time Senior Partners, been with SBR since 2006 and 2008, the pair bring significant experience in supporting organisations worldwide and across all sectors to improve their sales capability and, as a result, their bottom line.
During his time with SBR, Lotherington has been engaged with more than 250 client projects ranging from Google, Expedia and Facebook to numerous professional services and finance firms. He is still very much involved with his clients, having dedicated 30 years to Sales Force Effectiveness, and is often asked to present at global conferences on sales strategy and execution. Meanwhile, Morton has spent 20 years of his career selling, leading sales teams and running projects and programmes in the US, EMEA and APAC.
The new Managing Directors commented on their promotion, “We are delighted to have this opportunity to take SBR on the next phase of its growth journey. Some great developments have been bubbling under the surface for some time now and with the appointment of a new Operations Director we are geared to help the business grow to the next level. This includes developing new solutions that currently don’t exist in the market place... We are committed to becoming the market leader in sales strategy and execution, continuing our successful year on year growth.”
