Aaron Weatherman joins actuarial unit Oliver Wyman
Global consulting firm Oliver Wyman has bolstered its North American actuarial practice with Aaron Weatherman. Weatherman joins from CNA Insurance, where he worked for two years in the firm’s life and group business.
Aaron Weatherman has more than 15 years of working experience. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln he started his career with Buck Consultants* as an Actuarial Associate. In 2002 he moved to PwC, where he spent five years in the Big Four’s advisory business, after which he had spells with Deloitte and Aon Hewitt. In 2010 Weatherman left the industry to join Allstate Financial as Head of Actuarial Services, a role which he fulfilled for three years. Most recently Weatherman led the valuation, modeling and ALM functions for CNA’s life, annuity and health business. At CNA, he has led actuarial system conversions of long-term care business to GGY’s AXIS platform, as well as projects including IT automation, process improvement, and improved management reporting.
Weatherman has now decided to embark on a new adventure, leaving financial services to return to the consulting industry, with Oliver Wyman his new employer. He strengthens Oliver Wyman’s actuarial practice as a Principal in the Chicago office. “We are very excited to have Aaron join our Actuarial Practice,” says David Weinsier, Partner and Head of Oliver Wyman’s U.S. Actuarial Life Practice. “His expertise and hands on experience in addressing the unique financial reporting and risk management challenges facing the long-term care industry exemplifies our commitment to growing our practice and to bringing a wide range of actuarial services to our clients.”
