Red Consultancy handed new role with Munchkin

UK communications firm Red Consultancy has landed a new contract with Munchkin as its UK PR and social agency. Munchkin is a global infant and toddler lifestyle brand based in the US, but is keen to expand its influence in the European and UK markets in 2019.

Red Consultancy is a professional services firm which offers advisory services to clients looking for PR, digital and content expertise. The strategic communications consultancy was founded in 1994, and now employs around 140 people from its Soho offices. The firm develops and manages campaigns, runs major press offices, and steers brands and businesses through engagement with media, consumers, customers, stakeholders and internal audiences both domestically and internationally.

The firm counts global brands such as McDonald’s, Emirates, Huawei, Aldi, Heathrow, Adobe and Nestlé among its client base. Most recently, it has also secured another world-wide customer, with the news that lifestyle brand Munchkin has appointed Red Consultancy for its UK PR and social agency work.

Red Consultancy handed new role with Munchkin

Munchkin is a global infant and toddler company headquartered in Van Nuys, California. It was founded in 1991 by Steven B. Dunn, and is known for designing, developing, manufacturing, and distributing infant and toddler products. While it already commands a high profile in the US, Red Consultancy will now be tasked with raising its profile in this market through strategic brand partnerships, an influencer engagement strategy, and traditional media relations and product placement.

Red Consultancy’s work for Munchkin will also include communications support around a line-up of new products to the hit the UK market this year, the agency said, as well as a partnership with the International Fund for Animal Welfare. According to industry news outlet PR Week, the account will be led by the Managing Director of Red Consultancy’s consumer division, Emily Morgan.

Commenting on the news, Morgan told the press, "Munchkin creates amazing products and really is market leading. With over 220 patents they are quite rightly a huge leading brand in the US. We will be using our expertise in parenting and consumer brands to give Munchkin the exposure needed to continue its incredible growth trajectory in the UK."
