Global professional services firm Heidrick Consulting has appointed two new consultants to its London team. New Principal Jane Schroeder joins from energy consultancy Engie, while Partner Ian Tomlinson-Roe arrives on the back of a decade with PwC.

Founded in 1953 by two Booz Allen Hamilton alumni, Chicago-based Heidrick & Struggles was among the first executive search firms in the US. Since then, the company has expanded across the globe, while adding leadership consulting and culture shaping services to its core executive recruiting function.

2018 has seen a number of senior appointments across its international operations. Most recently in the US, Sarah Payne joined the firm as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, while earlier in the year, Heidrick & Struggle’s consulting wing added senior change advisors in London and Paris. Now, Heidrick Consulting has followed this up with two further senior appointments in the UK to close out the year.

Ian Tomlinson-Roe joins as Partner in the firm’s London office, and brings with him more than two decades of experience in consulting, line management and advisory in both the public and private sector. Tomlinson-Roe spent the last 10 years of his career with Big Four firm PwC, which he joined in 2007. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Partner six years later, concentrating on consulting within the “People & Organisations” line of service.

Jane Schroeder becomes a Principal with Heidrick Consulting on the back of a six-year spell at Engie. She was most recently the Global Talent Director for the energy consultancy, and led the Global Talent Team responsible for the Group talent management and development strategy, as well as talent partnering for the international business. In her new role, also in the London office, she will focus on all aspects of leadership and talent management.

Commenting on the new arrivals, Andrew LeSueur, Global Managing Partner of Heidrick Consulting, said, "We continue to build and grow our business to better meet the demands of our clients globally. The addition of these consultants will strengthen our capabilities and expertise."
