FTI Consulting names Lester Pereira Managing Director

FTI Consulting has boosted its Governance, Risk & Regulation Practice in the EMEA with the appointment of wholesale banking expert Lester Pereira as Managing Director. Pereira will be based in London and focus on supporting clients with regulatory issues.

Lester Pereira joins FTI Consulting from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where he fulfilled the role of Investment Banks Supervision Manager, supervising wholesale banks and leading the implementation of a new regulatory framework for supervision. Before joining the FCA, Pereira worked at the Lloyds Banking Group as New Products Approval Consultant in 2012 and of Head of Projects & Processes at Santander Global Banking and Markets between 2008 and 2011. From 2000 to 2008, Pereira was employed by Abbey Financial Markets, first as and Manager Corporate Development and later as Head of Product Development. Pereira also worked for Barclays Capital and Brisk Financial Consultants, having started his career at Britannia Industries in 1988.

Pereira holds a Bachelor degree in Economics & Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, a Master degree in Management from the London Business School and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

As Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s EMEA Governance, Risk & Regulation (GGR) Practice, Pereira will support clients encountering the full spectrum of regulatory issues. His more than 25 years of experience will help him tackle the matters of risk and regulatory management, corporate governance, business model analysis, wholesale and retail conduct risk management compliance programmes and financial crime. “We are delighted to welcome Lester to FTI Consulting.
