Capita enters partnership with Adepto, a London talent HRtech start-up
A new partnership has been announced between Capita and London-and-Brisbane-based talent start-up Adepto. Capita will provide the Adepto talent solution to its clients, as well as use the technology internally, which will help the young firm scale across the globe.
Adepto describes itself as a ‘total talent platform’, and provides global organisations with a real-time view of all the skills available to them by enabling them to build and manage private communities of all workers, including permanent employees, alumni, contractors and freelancers. Thanks to this approach, the platform aims to make it so that hiring managers, recruiters and procurers can instantly find the best people based on their skills, regardless of where they are today or how they will be hired. In theory, this helps reduce costs and time, resulting in more responsive and agile resourcing.
Capita Scaling Partner (CSP) forms strategic relationships with innovative digital start-ups. They help these start-ups develop their offering and connect them with Capita's client base, accelerating their growth, and enabling their enterprise clients to benefit from leading edge innovation. The start-up development unit of Capita has entered into a new strategic partnership with Adepto.
The new agreement sees Capita become the company’s long-term ‘scaling partner’, in order to provide business development services to support Adepto’s continued global expansion. Capita will also adopt Adepto’s cloud-based platform to help manage its own workforce and deploy it as a client solution via its People Solutions business to help clients better manage all the talent available to them. This partnership comes at a critical time for organisations who are trying to manage growing workforce challenges, as many currently manage permanent and temporary staff separately using inflexible HR processes, forgoing significant engagement, productivity and efficiency gains that are possible from having a unified workforce management approach.
Remarking on the new partnership, Jon Lewis, CEO of Capita, said, “This partnership demonstrates Capita’s commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and underscores our focus and ability to create unique partnership opportunities to help exciting, innovative tech companies to achieve scale. For Capita, this is another important step on our journey to deliver innovative digital solutions to our clients to help solve near-term issues and provide long-term strategic benefits in our key growth markets.”
Chris Milligan, CEO and Founder of Adepto, added, “We’re excited to have agreed to this strategic partnership with Capita. It will enable us to build on our successes to date, which includes successfully delivering our platform to some of the world’s largest professional service, IT and engineering firms… This relationship bolsters our global ambitions, particularly here in the UK where Capita provides instant market access. Clients can transact with us in the knowledge that we’re still the same independent, innovative, agile business but with the comfort of knowing we have the weight of Capita supporting us.”
