A&M appoints new Managing Director to bolster UK tax practice
Global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director in its London tax practice. Keith Thomas arrives from Big Four firm EY, where he was a Partner.

Demonstrating the firm’s commitment to growing its UK presence and range of services to clients in an industry landscape that is shifting in response to regulatory changes, Taxand strengthened its tax advisory practice with three senior appointments earlier in 2018. Following this, Taxand has further boosted its capacity with the addition of another Managing Director. Keith Thomas brings almost 40 years of experience to Taxand’s London office and will work alongside A&M’s senior practice leaders to expand the tax support that A&M provides to major corporates, particularly within the FTSE 100.
Prior to joining A&M Taxand, Thomas was a Senior Partner at EY in London, where he advised on a wide range of issues for domestic and multi-national corporate clients on global tax strategy and compliance as leader of EY’s FTSE 100 Tax Group. From 2011-2014, his leadership bridged cross-service lines for the FTSE 100 Group, a role that resulted in his subsequent appointment to the EY UK leadership team. Thomas joined EY in 1979, after gaining a Law degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth,
