Capita platform migrates Oracle software to UK cloud

Capita IT Enterprise Services has launched a new platform, the Capita Private Cloud for Oracle, which enables companies to migrate their mission critical Oracle software deployments into one secure UK cloud.

The new Capita platform, developed in cooperation with Oracle’s virtualisation team, is a secure private cloud platform which allows companies to migrate all their Oracle software deployments into one UK cloud. As the platform combines public and private cloud services, users will be able to adopt a blend of services without the complexity of managing multiple suppliers and contracts.

The cloud, which is based on Oracle VM and Oracle Linux, helps users to deploy virtualised Oracle databases, middleware, applications and workloads, to support the full lifecycle of Oracle Database and Oracle Application deployments. 

According to Capita, the new service will allow its users to increase agility and competitiveness, improve cost savings and reduce overheads.
