KPMG and Microsoft have agreed on a strategic collaboration to deliver a new generation of data and analytics, cloud and business solutions. The partnership will combine Microsoft’s platform and application suite with KPMG’s industry expertise and global network to help their clients address disruptive challenges their businesses are facing today.

The collaboration between professional services firm KPMG and Microsoft is an expansion of their existing relationship and is driven by “a shared certainty that clients are looking for business partners with solutions and services that combine the best in leading-edge technology, industry insight and innovative thinking with proven excellence in managing complex global projects.”

Under the new strategic collaboration, which is based on Microsoft’s Azure, Dynamics and data platforms, the partners will develop and deliver a new suite of solutions and services in data and analytics, cloud compliance and transformation, and business solutions. This will include the realisation of one global, scalable platform, which can deliver cloud-based solutions for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Data and Analytics.

For KPMG, the expanded collaboration will provide its clients with preferred access to proven technology solutions, including: big data and analytic solutions, enterprise-grade, and hybrid cloud. “This collaboration will allow us to develop a new generation of business solutions, underpinned by Microsoft’s Dynamics technology. In conjunction with Microsoft, our clients now have a global partner they can trust to help them solve their key challenges such as improvements to productivity, customer engagement and competitiveness,” explains Bryan Cruickshank, KPMG’s Global Head of IT Advisory.

Microsoft will benefit from the partnership through the access granted to KPMG’s global reach and deep industry knowledge. “We are excited to bring together KPMG’s industry expertise, global network and business transformation acumen with Microsoft’s enterprise cloud technologies, data, analytic and business solutions to help customers deal with their most challenging issues,” adds Scott Guthrie, Microsoft Executive Vice President of the Cloud and Enterprise.

Technology services portfolio
For KPMG the Microsoft deal is the second alliance in months aimed at bolstering its technology services portfolio. Recently the firm announced a 10 year alliance McLaren Group through which KPMG will apply McLaren Applied Technologies’ analytics and technology to its audit and advisory services.
