Deloitte adds 275,000 square feet to London campus

Big Four firm Deloitte has hired 275,000 square feet of office space at 1 New Street Square. The accounting and consulting firm is expected to move into the premise in Autumn 2017.

Deloitte currently has 10,000 staff operating out of the firm’s London campus, based at 2 and 3 New Street Square. In line with the firm’s growth ambition, Deloitte has decided to lease a further 275,000 square feet at 1 New Street Square, adjacent to its current premises. “The opportunity to occupy the landmark 1 New Street Square concludes the next phase of consolidating our London campus which we first started in 2009. 1 New Street Square will further deliver an exciting and flexible working environment for our increasingly diverse and agile London talent,” comments David Gill, managing partner of internal client services at Deloitte.

The business advisory has agreed a 20 year lease with tenant Land Securities, more than 12 months ahead of the development’s completion, expected in June next year. Colette O’Shea, Managing Director, London Portfolio at Land Securities, says: “Deloitte has been one of our largest and most valued customers in the London portfolio and this expansion into the New Street Square campus allows us to strengthen that relationship further.”
