Accenture wins global HR BPO assignment Unilever
Accenture has won a large five-year HR business process outsourcing (BPO) contract with Unilever. More than 130,000 Unilever employees, spread over 100 countries, will in the coming years make use of Accenture's HR services. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Recently, Unilever outsourced its global Finance and Accounting processes to Capgemini.

Under the terms of the contract, Accenture will be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of Unilever's HR services. The contract includes the following services: recruitment, labour terms, HR administration, payroll administration, training & development and learning system hosting.
Innovation within HR
In addition, the consulting firm will also be responsible for launching a number of new innovations within Unilever's HR department. For example, Accenture will introduce a more proactive recruiting approach based on forecasting-led recruiting methods. Also the use of social technology and social media will be enhanced. In the area of Learning, Accenture will refresh the training curriculum and improve the development of future leaders within the food production concern.
