Arthur D. Little agrees partnership with Spinverse
Global consulting firm Arthur D. Little has entered into a partnership with Spinverse, a Finland-based consultancy firm specialised in innovation advisory. With the agreement, Arthur D. Little boosts its footprint in Scandinavia, as well as the depth of its global innovation portfolio through the bundling with Spinverse’s main offerings.
With over 1,000 consultants in 20 countries, Arthur D. Little is one of the largest management consulting firms of the globe. The firm, renowned for being the globe’s first modern era consultancy*, provides clients with a range of consulting services, including strategy, operations, technology, innovation and finance & risk.
For over two decades now, Arthur D. Little has an on-the-ground presence in Scandinavia (first established in 1993), serving the market through its Swedish hubs in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The team consists of approximately 60 consultants, led by a management team of seven partners**, headed by Petter Kilefors, who earlier this year succeeded Bo Lenerius as CEO of the Nordics.
Alliance with Spinverse
In line with the firm’s growth agenda in key markets, Arthur D. Little has agreed a strategic alliance with Spinverse, a Finnish consultancy headquartered in Tekniikantie, an area just outside of the Helsinki. Founded in 2004, Spinverse currently employs 30+ professionals, with further operations in Russia and China. The firm focuses predominantly on innovation consulting, and specialises in developing driving open innovation ecosystems and supporting clients with commercialising emerging technologies.
With the partnership, Arthur D. Little fulfils two key objectives. Firstly, it provides the consultancy with a local presence in Finland in Russia, and complements its existing presence in Greater China. The move to work together with a local partner is not new for Arthur D. Little – since its management buyout early 2012 the firm has struck a number of alliances to grow its footprint, including with Solidiance in Asia (December 2012) and Strategy Partners Group in Russia (November 2013). Secondly, both Spinverse and Arthur D. Little focus on the innovation advisory segment, and by bundling their offerings the firms bolster both the breadth and depth of their portfolio.
Jointly, the firms expect to hit a sweet spot in the market. “Together with Spinverse we can increase our presence in Finland and offer outstanding, innovative solutions to CTOs, governments and investors”, comments Kilefors.
