FTI Consulting hires Kristina Moore and Brian Grove

FTI Consulting has added two senior advisors to its Strategic Communications team in North America. Kristina Moore joins as Managing Director in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, while Brian Grove joins as a Managing Director in Houston.

Brian Grove has more than two decades of experience in public and policy affairs as well as media relations. At the start of the millennium Grove spent two years as Director of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Governor's Office of Public Liaison. In 2002 he took on the executive director role at Back Mountain Recreation, a role he held until 2006. After a successful stint as Campaign Manager for senate candidate Lisa Baker in 2005, Grove became her Chief of Staff for three years until 2009. Thereafter he took up the role at Chesapeake Energy, leaving as its Senior Director of Corporate Development in 2013 to become the Deputy Secretary for Administration at the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, during which time he was responsible for the budget, personnel and information technology resources for the agency’s 1,300 staff managing 2.4 million acres of public land.

Grove holds a BA in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and an Executive Education in Strategic Leadership for State Executives from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Kristina Moore started her career as Counsel to the US House of Representatives while still studying toward her Juris Doctorate in 2006, holding the role for two years. In 2009 she took on an Attorney role for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, after which she served as Senior Counsel for the US House of Representatives, a role she held for three years. After a five month stint as Chief Legislative Counsel for the NADA, Moore took on the role of Senior Counsel for the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works a role she held for two years, during which she spearheaded the Committee’s efforts to bring more transparency and accountability to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Moore holds a BA in History and Economics from the University of South Florida as well as a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law. She recently completed a Certificate in Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies, Political Science and Government from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Strategic Communications
Both Grove and Moore have now joined FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications practice, with both advisors to focus on the Energy & Natural Resources industry. Grove will be based in Houston, tasked with leading the further expansion of the unit, while Moore joins FTI’s Washington, D.C. office.
