BNP Paribas poaches five of Deloitte's consultants

The French bank BNP Paribas has poached a team of five experienced consultants from Deloitte. The team was working within the Real Estate team of het advisory firm and will head BNP Paribas’ new Real Estate practice in the UK. In the British media Deloitte reacted disappointed on the move from the bank, which the firm described as a 'hostile take-over'.

The team of Deloitte consultants that has moved to BNP Paribus consists of:

- Simon Williams, Deloitte's head of retail investment
- Patrick Heaps, head of retail agency
- Chris Mulcock, senior retail investment director
- Jemima Unterhalter, associate director in retail investment
- Rosemary Baker, administrator

The five consultants have a common background. They previously worked together at real-estate advisory firm DTZ before they joined Big 4 service provider Deloitte.

Ian Parish, head of lettings and sales at BNP Paribas, said the move is a "major acquisition and is very much in line with our UK development plan". "I am delighted that five Deloitte employees are joining us," he says. "This gives us tremendous potential in serving further our existing clients but also in offering a top class retail service to new clients".
