Grant Thornton appoints Business Development Senior
Grant Thornton in the UK has appointed former PwC Manager Andrew Devonald as Senior Business Development Manager. In his new role, Devonald will focus on growing the firm’s local profile and presence as the preferred advisor for the UK mid-market businesses.
Andrew Devonald joins Grant Thornton from PwC where he worked more than five years in business development as Manager, focussing on the creation of new contacts within private businesses and family businesses across Yorkshire and the North East. Prior to this, he fulfilled the role of Senior Consultant at recruitment consulting firm Quantica Search & Selection for a year and of Recruitment Consultant at Michael Page for five years. Before joining the recruitment industry, Devonald worked for pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis for three years as GP/Hospital Sales Representative.
Devonald holds a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Sheffield.
As Senior Business Development Manager at Grant Thornton, Devonald has been charged with building the firm’s profile and presence in the Yorkshire business community. He will do so by supporting the firm’s local team in identifying and assisting fast growing businesses in order to become recognised as the “go to advisor”.
