Elixirr strengthens financial services offering with new Associate Partners
Elixirr has expanded its financial services offering with the appointment of two new Associate Partners. Julian Gladwin, and former Capgemini employee Simon Lake, are both tasked with bringing their industry experience to Elixirr’s wholesale banking practice.
Established in 2009, Elixirr haa since become the third fastest expanding management consultancy in Europe. Having taken their success on the road, they have also recently been named one of the fastest-growing firms in the US. In order to cope with the growing demand in their financial services offering, the firm has hired two new Associate Partners.
Julian Gladwin has joined the expanding consulting firm from global FX settlement risk mitigation system operators CLS, where he was a Director of Relationship Management for the past five and a half years. Prior to this, Gladwin was based in Dubai with Standard Chartered – having set up a financial institutions business. In his term with the company, he worked to manage relationships with sovereign wealth funds, banks, and asset managers.
Previously, he had also spent a decade with Northern Trust in London and Singapore, serving as a regional manager in Network Management for EMEA and APAC. Gladwin’s specialisms include FX risk mitigation, strategy development, regulatory awareness and financial market products – skills he will hope to apply to providing clients with practical liquidity and risk advice.Speaking on his new role, Gladwin remarked, “Elixirr’s strong foothold and ambition in the financial services industry is one of many reasons I decided to join Elixirr. The firm is doing some great things helping companies respond to market forces that are redefining how they operate and organise themselves. I am extremely excited to be a part of this and have the opportunity to contribute to this amazing story.”
Simon Lake will be focused on supporting Elixirr’s clients with strategic vendor management and outsourcing advice. A fellow alumnus of CLS, Lake was previously the Head of Vendor Management and Strategic Relationships at the organisation for nine years, advising on everything from application development to facilities management and infrastructure provision. Prior to his engagement at CLS, Simon worked at global consulting firm Capgemini, Barclays, and Coopers & Lybrand, having begun his career at the Bank of England.
Simon Lake commented on his new appointment, “The offer to join Elixirr in this capacity was one I could not pass up. The team is outstanding and I was sold on the opportunity as soon I heard their vision, not only in the consulting space but beyond. The firm is on a very stable footing to exceed its own expectations.”
Barry Lewis, Partner at Elixirr, added that the pair have a long-standing working relationship with Elixirr staff, stating, “I have known both Julian and Simon for many years having worked with and alongside them at various banks. Both bring invaluable skills, expertise and networks that will help to bolster Elixirr’s ability to advise existing and prospective clients. I could not think of two more suitable or qualified people to join the firm at such a pivotal moment in our evolution. I have full faith that they will both be excellent additions to the team and provide exceptional value to our clients in their respective fields.”
