Protiviti expands South American presence with Bogotá office
International consulting firm Protiviti has expanded its South American footprint with an on- the-ground presence in Colombia. An agreement with local advisory firm Creinpro Colombia sees Protiviti add an office in Bogotá, the capital city of the country.
Globally, Protiviti has more than 70 offices in over 20 countries, housing a team of around 4,500 professionals. Its network in South America to date comprised of offices in six countries: Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Mexico.
The expansion into Colombia, South America’s second largest country by population, reflects according to Joseph Tarantino, president and CEO of Protiviti, the rapidly improving economy of the country. Looking ahead, Colombia is, according to a recent study by PwC, set to continue to face positive fortunes, projected by the researchers to become the fastest growing economy in Latin America, against a backdrop of a continent that may struggle economically if a range of fundamentals are not improved.
“We are pleased to be able to provide this additional support to new and existing clients looking to pursue market opportunities in Colombia and Latin America with the expertise in local regulatory and compliance matters that Protiviti is known for worldwide,” said Tarantino, who has been with the consultancy since its inception in 2002 and its CEO since December 2007.
The new Protiviti office is formed through an alliance with Creinpro Colombia, a local business consultancy based in Bogotá. The Colombian services firm offers services such as digital transformation, anti-money laundering compliance, technology consulting (including cyber security and data management), and internal audit.
Creinpro Colombia will, similar to other member firms within its network, operate as a separate and independent legal entity, while serving clients under the Protiviti brand.
Earlier this year, Protiviti launched Protiviti Digital, a new arm specifically focused on digital consulting.
