Sohail Qadri, Adam Bradley and David Eastwood join FTI in London
FTI Consulting has added three senior advisors to its team in the UK. Sohail Qadri strengthens the firm’s TMT Practice as Senior Advisor, Adam Bradley joins FTI’s Operational Transformation practice as a Senior Managing Director and David Eastwood has been named a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Economic Consulting segment. All three consultants are based in London.
Sohail Qadri has a wealth of experience in creating customer-oriented organisations and brands and leading companies through major strategic change, with particular experience gained in mobile and fixed communications, data centre and cloud services. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Qadri served Big Four firm Deloitte and was an Executive Vice President and Executive Committee member at Colt Technology Services. Prior to that he held a number of senior roles in major telecommunications companies across the world, including Ooredoo (Qtel Group), wi-Tribe Holding, Telefonica, O2 and BT, serving on company boards in Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Qadri joins FTI’s Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) industry practice, and will from the base in London help clients execute transactions by providing diligence, carve-out and integration support services, and navigate key risks and disruptive trends in the industry. “We are delighted that Sohail will be joining us. His appointment will significantly strengthen our TMT sector expertise and enhance our advisory capabilities,” said Kevin Hewitt, Chairman of FTI Consulting’s EMEA region.
Commenting on the addition, Michael Knott, a Senior Managing Director and Leader of FTI Consulting’s TMT practice in EMEA, added, “I am really looking forward to working with Sohail, whose unparalleled knowledge, insight and experience will enable us to drive value for the clients in our industry.”
Adam Bradley has more than 20 years of consulting industry experience and focuses on shaping and delivering large, complex and urgent business transformation and profit improvement programmes for private equity-backed businesses. He has extensive experience across multiple industries, in particular healthcare and life sciences, telecommunications, media and technology, infrastructure and business services.
Bradley, who holds a Master in Economics from the University of York and completed the Advanced Business Management Programme at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, joins FTI Consulting from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a Partner in the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. Previous consulting experience includes positions with Accenture and Arthur D Little, while he earlier in his career also practiced as a restructuring lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
In his new role as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Operational Transformation practice, an arm within FTI’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, Bradley will focus on further expanding the unit’s services to the private equity sector. “Adam’s extensive, hands-on experience will be of significant value as we continue to expand our European offering and help our private equity clients create value across the investment lifecycle. I am delighted to welcome him to the team,” said Hewitt.
David Eastwood has been appointed as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Economic Consulting segment – he is also based in London. He has broad experience in the telecommunications, media and technology sector, working with clients in software, hardware, digital content and telecoms, as well as in other IP-rich sectors such as pharmaceuticals and life sciences. He has audited software contracts, technology licences, distribution and joint-venture agreements, best pricing (most favoured nation) clauses, advertising agreements, co-development agreements and IT supply contracts.
Areas of expertise Eastwood specialises in include software and technology licensing, the development and implementation of contract compliance programmes, revenue recovery and the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the licensing of brands and digital content, royalty audits and software asset management. Eastwood also advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly where measurement of usage and compliance with contract terms is complex and hard to establish.
He joins FTI Consulting after almost 35 years at KPMG, where he helped establish and grow the firm’s UK Forensic practice. He established KPMG’s global Contract Compliance Services team in 2000, building it to around 500 staff globally and serving some of the world’s largest software and technology companies.
“As IP-rich industries such as TMT and pharmaceuticals continue to evolve and respond to changing market and technological advances, there will inevitably be a significant rise in the volume of contractual disputes. David’s unparalleled expertise and experience will enable us to provide clients with the highest possible levels of advice and support, and I am delighted to welcome him to the team,” remarked FTI’s EMEA Chairman.
