Ramboll Management Consulting grows executive team
Ramboll has recently added three advisors to the Executive Management Team of its Management Consulting practice: Henrik Rosenberg Seiding, Carsten Sørensen and German Volker Rothenpieler.
Ramboll Group is an in 1945 established Danish engineering, design and consulting firm, specialised in Buildings, Transport, Water & Environment, Energy, Oil & Gas, Telecom, and Management Consulting services. Since its establishment, the firm has grown to an international corporation employing 12,500 professionals working from its 200 offices in 22 countries.
The Management Consulting practice of the firm recently promoted Henrik Rosenberg Seiding, Carsten Sørensen and German Volker Rothenpieler, three Senior Directors, to its Executive Management Team. According to Managing Director Tonny Johansen, the move will strengthen the firm’s ability to meet client demand in the years to come. “These guys all have an impressive track record in developing services and lead complex clients projects – often across borders. We are on a journey to become even better at delivering our services cross-nationally and combining our services with specific sector insight.” The three will work alongside Johansen and be responsible for the firm’s development and customer offering.
A summary of the career of the three new Executive Directors:
Henrik Rosenberg Seiding joined the firm in 2005. In 2007, he became Head of Department of the Competence Center and in 2008 Deputy Director. After a short break at Ramboll between 2010 and 2011, he was appointed as Senior Director. In addition to Executive Director, he also acts as the Group Director for Sustainable Society at the firm. Rosenberg Seiding holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Government.
Carsten Sørensen joined Ramboll in 1996 straight out of University. He was promoted to Head of Department in 1998, a function he held for eight years, and to Director in 2006. Sørensen has an MBA in General Management and Strategy and a degree in Economy and Statistics.
Volker Rothenpieler has a degree in Computer Science and began his career in 1989 as a software developer. He joined Ramboll in 2014, moving from Putz & Partner after the firm was acquired by the Danish giant. Rothenpieler joined Putz & Partner in 2004, and was promoted to the top management group in 2007. In 2010 he became Managing Director of the company.
In a press release, Ramboll states that the promotion of the three advisors follows its acquisition of ENVIRON, an environmental consultancy which it picked up late 2014, leading to the creation of Ramboll’s new Environment & Health division. With executives changing practice, there was room for realignment at the top of the Management Consulting division.
