Cornerstone Research promotes four advisors to Vice President roles
Cornerstone Research has promoted four of its senior staff members to the rank of Vice President. Abe Chernin, Kostis Hatzitaskos and Bryan Ricchetti will work out of the firm’s Chicago office, while Ravi Sinha will work out of its San Francisco office.
Cornerstone Research is a US-based economic and financial consulting firm. The firm, which has more than 700 staff across offices in Boston, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Washington, in addition taps a wide range of top-level expertise from prominent faculty and industry practitioners to provide expert testimony in client cases pertaining to economic matters. The firm recently announced it has promoted four of its senior staff members to the role of Vice President, across its Chicago and San Francisco offices.
Abe Chernin started his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a Research Associate in 2000, after which, in 2002, he joined Citigroup Asset Management, becoming an Assistant Vice President in Quantitative Equity Research at the firm. In 2010 he joined Cornerstone Research, where he focused his attention on advisory services to the firm’s real estate clients, related to asset-backed securities, consumer debt, and retail and investment banking. As a Vice President in the firm’s Consumer Finance practice, Chernin leads a large team of consultants in Chicago, besides his own advisory work.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Research in 2007, Kostis Hatzitaskos completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He began at the firm as an Associate, a Manager in 2010, a Senior Manager in 2012, and a Principal in 2014. His work has predominantly been focused on issues pertaining to merger review and antitrust litigation, whereby he supported the firm’s clients with, among others, intellectual property matters. As a Vice President at the firm, he will continue to support the firm’s clients with economic advisory from the firm’s Chicago office.
Bryan Ricchetti worked at the US Census Bureau between 2004 and 2007, while studying towards a Doctorate of Philosophy in Economics from Cornell University. In 2007 he joined Cornerstone research, focused primarily on issues pertaining to statistical analysis of large, complex datasets for the firm’s clients. As Vice President, situated in Chicago, he will support the firm’s clients deal with antitrust, labour, market manipulation, and consumer class certification matters.
Ravi Sinha joined Cornerstone Research in 2005. He is specialised in complex financial and valuation analyses, and has worked on a number of cases pertaining to securities litigation, financial institutions, and mergers and acquisitions. In his new role as a Vice President at the firm he will continue to support the firm’s clients in intellectual property issues, based out of the firm’s San Francisco office.
