After starting his career as a Business Analyst with Deutsche Bank in London, Nielsen spent nearly five years in the banking industry, serving ABN Amro, Royal Bank of Scotland and Northern Trust. In 2005 he moved over into the consulting industry, joining Avantage Capita, a financial services consultancy, where he spent over two years, based in the UK. Throughout his career, Nielsen gained extensive project management experience of the full life cycle of a project from project charter to the rollout phase, as well as built in-depth knowledge of Basel 2, Solvency 2 and Sarbanes regulatory reporting. He also has a wide-ranging understanding of FATCA, CRS and MIFID requirements.

At FiSer Consulting, a consulting firm launched a year ago by Mischa Wesdorp and Dirk Worm (the name FiSer is derived from FInancial SERvices), Nielsen has been named a Senior Consultant. “Paul is an excellent relationship builder and his strengths lie in his teamwork and communication skills and in the fact that he quickly adapts to changing environments, always identifying the bigger picture before defining an approach”, remarks co-founder Wesdorp.

Constanza Díaz joins FiSer Consulting as a Junior Consultant. She brings three years of management consulting experience with her – Díaz formerly served Montblanc Consulting, a consultancy based in Chile founded in 2008 by two former Booz Allen Hamilton Directors. In her role, she gained experience in, among others, Business Development, Risk Management, Project Evaluation and Strategic Planning, across a wide range of industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Utilities, Pulp & Paper, and Insurance. Prior to that, she worked as an intern for at IM Trust – a Chilean financial services institution.

Commenting on her appointment, co-founder Worm says, “Constanza is a seasoned consultant. She works accurately, she knows how to map problems and how to search for solutions actively. In addition, she is a relationship builder and a team player.”
