Alpha FMC opens new office in Switzerland to support local clients

To support Swiss-based asset and wealth managers meet the modern challenges associated with their business, from digitalisation to business models, Alpha Financial Markets Consulting has launched a new office in Geneva. The new practice is headed by Nicolas Cherbuin.

Alpha Financial Markets Consulting (Alpha FMC) is a financial services consultancy firm, founded in 2003 in the UK. The firm has enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years, adding to its international footprint with offices in US, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Across its seven global offices, firm employs around 180 people, supported by a further 50 associates.

As part of the firm's global expansion strategy, Alpha FMC has launched a new office in Switzerland. The choice for Switzerland allows the firm to better support local asset and wealth managers deal with a range of emerging challenges, particularly in terms of improving their operations and infrastructure across the value chain – the sector continues to be affected by digitalisation, the rise of FinTechs, and changes to distribution strategies, investment operating models and technologies.

Alpha FMC opens new office in Switzerland

Euan Fraser, the Global CEO of Alpha FMC, says, “Switzerland is a leading market for fund and wealth management. Opening an office in the country represents a key step in our European and Global expansion.”

The new office will be headed up by Nicolas Cherbuin, who joins the firm from investment management firm Meeschaert where he was Global Head of Strategic Projects. He spent the earlier part of his career at EFG Bank, rising to the role of Chief Operating Officer (Secretary General) & Member of the Executive Committee in 2010 – he joined the bank as a Private Banking Assistant in 2001. He has attended a range of executive programmes, including at the Harvard Law School and at the University of California, Irvine, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk & Finance Management from the University of Applied Sciences.
