McGladrey raises nearly 1 million dollar for Charities
McGladrey recently released the results of its McGladrey Classic golf tournament, which includes a $930,000 windfall for community-based programs that focus on children and families in need. The McGladrey Classic co-run Birdies Fore Love programme dropped in another $467,000 for the charities.
McGladrey is a US provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, with more than 7,000 professionals and associates in more than 75 cities nationwide. For the last five years, the firm has run its McGladrey Classic, which is an Official PGA TOUR FedExCup Event. The tournament aims at raising much needed money for children- and family-focused charitable organisations and is hosted by the Davis Love Foundation*.
Birdies Fore Love
The Birdies Fore Love that is held in in conjunction with The McGladrey Classic is a programme that focuses on assisting non-profit organisations to surpass their fundraising goals while sharing the excitement of The McGladrey Classic. The programme that is strongly supported by McGladrey encourages individuals to make $10 minimum donations to a Birdies Fore Love participating charity and to guess the number of birdies that will be made during the tournament for a grand prize. 100% of donations made to the Birdies Fore Love programme make it to the selected charity.
The 2014 McGladrey Classic turned out another success, raising $930,000 for the charitable organisations, which will be distributed by the Davis Love Foundation. This brings the total five-year charitable contribution of the tournament to more than $2.7 million. The Birdies Fore Love programme raised an auditioned $467,000 for charity at the tournament, totalling the amount of charitable money to almost $1.4 million in 2014.
