BDO names Stuart Walters CIO of UK arm, joins from Olswang

BDO has appointed Stuart Walters as Chief Information Officer at its UK member firm. In the newly developed role, Walters takes the lead of a team of nearly 90 staff, focused on developing new offerings in the rapidly developing infrastructure and digital technology space.
Prior to joining BDO, Stuart Walters worked at international law firm Olswang where he was Global IT Director for more than two years. Prior to that, he worked at Taylor Wessing UK, as the firm’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) for more than three years. Earlier in his career Walters worked at Eversheds, a full-service law firm, for more than eight years – starting out as a Technical Architect in 2004, while concurrently an Infrastructure Application Manager; in 2006 he became Head of Business Application.

Professional services firm BDO has appointed Walters as CIO, bolstering the firm’s presence in the rapidly expanding technology and innovation segment. The role, which is newly created, will focus on developing the firm’s marketable advisory propositions in the IT infrastructure and digital technology space; he takes responsibility for a team of 86 IT'ers and professionals.
