Baker Tilly Virchow Krause adds Janice Ahlstrom as Director
Baker Tilly Virchow Krause has added Janice Ahlstrom to its Midwest US Healthcare and Governance, Risk and Compliance practice. In her new role as Director, Ahlstrom adds additional capacity and a rich client network to the firm’s capabilities in health consulting, as it continues to expand its regional business.
Prior to joining Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Janice Ahlstrom was a Programme Manager at Rogers Behavioral Health System from 2014 to 2016. At the company she supported the implementation of the Cerner Electronic Health system, as well as the concurrent implementation of Sales Force CRM and Great Plains ERP. Previously, from 2004 to 2013, she worked at Wipfli as a Partner within its Health Care Technology and Consulting practice, and, from 2001 to 2004, she worked at Fujitsu Consulting as its National Director of Healthcare Technology & Management Consulting.
Ahlstrom holds a BSN in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
The appointment sees Ahlstrom join Baker Tilly as a Director within the firm’s Midwest Healthcare and Governance, Risk and Compliance practice. The addition provides the firm with an expanded network of possible clients, as well as expertise in the areas of defined healthcare technology strategy, operational performance improvement, minimisation of risk and enhancement of internal controls environments. Through the addition, the firm continues to develop its regional practice.
Chris Jeffrey, Partner and leader of Baker Tilly’s Midwest Governance, Risk and Compliance practice, remarks that the firm is “very excited” about the capabilities Ahlstrom brings to the firm’s healthcare clients. “Managing risk is a business imperative in the healthcare industry and Janice’s background and experience will further enhance the firm’s abilities to serve our clients,” he adds.
