EY adds six new Partners to its leadership team in Ireland
EY Ireland has added six Partners to its leadership ranks, bringing the total number of Partners within the Irish business to 61.
On the back of strong client demand for its advisory services, EY has promoted two new Partners within its Performance Improvement business – Marcus Gageby and Barry McCarthy – while Niamh O’Beirne has been promoted to Partner within People Advisory Services. Within its tax division, EY has promoted Cork-based Seamus Downey and Ian Collins, who heads up EY’s Research & Development team. The sixth new Partner is Feargal De Freine, who sits in the Assurance business – he has been hired from Baxter Healthcare.
Commenting on the announcement, Mike McKerr, Country Managing Partner of EY Ireland, says: “These senior appointments reflect our ambition to further accelerate growth in the years to come. These Partner admissions create the next generation of leadership and enable teams to deliver exceptional service to an expanding client base throughout Ireland.”EY Ireland has a headcount of over 1,800 people across its seven offices in the country. The country organisation has seen strong growth in recent years, with organic growth of more than 16% per annum booked since 2013, a feat which means that EY has outperformed its Big Four rivals in the period.
Last month EY Ireland unveiled that it expects to add 270 new professionals to its workforce in Ireland in the coming twelve months. Technology, Data Analytics, Fraud Investigation, Cyber Security and Performance Improvement have been earmarked as the largest growth areas.
