Capgemini Senior VP HR joins Nationwide as HR Director
Financial institution Nationwide Building Society has recently appointed former Capgemini Senior VP HR Ann Brown as its HR Director. Brown will be responsible for the 17,000 Nationwide UK employees and the delivery of all HR services.
Nationwide Building Society is a UK mutual financial institution and a top-three provider of household savings and mortgages in the UK. The company, which has its earliest origins lie in the Provident Union Building Society that was established in 1846, has its headquarters in Swindon and a headcount of 15,000 employees.
Recently, the company announced the appointment of Ann Brown as its HR Director. Brown joins Nationwide from Capgemini, where she worked for more than 13 years. At the consulting firm, Brown held the position of UK Senior Vice President for HR. Prior to this she fulfilled the role of Group HR Director at Colt Technology Services for almost four years and the role of HR Director at Cable & Wireless Communications, a company where she also held various other senior HR roles. Brown has a Bachelor degree in English from the Kingston University and a Master degree in Coaching and Mentoring from Oxford Brookes University.
Brown brings over 25 years of experience to her role as HR Director at Nationwide. In her new role, she will be responsible for the provision of all HR services to Nationwide Building Society and a workforce of about 17,000 staff across the UK. She will report to Alison Robb, Nationwide’s Group Director who is responsible for HR, communications and planning, who she will join in ensuring Nationwide’s commitment to the living wage.
