Your Role

Capgemini Invent is hiring an experienced Senior Manager for our Transport sector.

 

We advise Travel and Transport Infrastructure clients and national infrastructure operators on the design, sourcing, transformation and operational improvement of transport infrastructure and services.

 

The role of Senior Manager is a key role encompassing both entrepreneurial business development/personal sales, with hands-on project delivery/management. This role would suit a technically savvy and commercially minded transport specialist who enjoys developing great client relationships and understands how to meet clients’ needs with great consulting solutions.  You will deliver what you sell helping clients transform their travel and transport infrastructure services, technology and by delivering business-critical change.

 

To do this, we would expect you to have strong contacts in the transport and travel infrastructure sector and be passionate about leveraging your network and your technical knowledge to meet client’s needs.  We are especially keen to have colleagues join our team with a solid track record for driving transformation in UK Rail, Road and Aviation Transport. This is an exciting chance to drive technology change across industry sectors through helping client organisations navigate this ever-changing space.

Your Profile

  • Knowledge and keen interest in one, or more, front-of-mind transport and travel sector topical areas of challenge for our times (examples include, but are not limited to, public transport policy and implementation, transport economics, digital transformation of public transport services, decarbonisation, etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen and management experience. You should be able to manage P&L’s and costs for programmes and projects
  • Prior experience in a management consultancy environment
  • Excellent business development, self-starter skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills in multi-cultural environments
  • A deep understanding of current affairs, public sector challenges and technological trends within this context
  • An interest in developing new business (this activity can take a number of different forms depending on relative experience and rank)
  • A drive for personal and professional progression

 

Some Key Duties:

 

  • Develop strategic client relationships, working at the senior levels to sell value adding consulting assignment
  • Lead and deliver large scale and complex projects – managing project teams (2-10 people) being actively involved and taking ownership of delivery
  • Develop commercially viable consulting market offerings
  • Driving Go-To-Market and other specialist teams to develop propositions, develop existing client accounts and build new accounts
  • Work within mixed consulting and client teams, planning, managing and delivering work
