An overview of the role:

As part of our growth agenda, we are seeking an additional Director in Healthcare at Capgemini Invent, with a particular focus on NHS providers. We want you to bring your exceptional sector expertise to support our ambition to be the Healthcare Consultancy partner of choice. We are passionate about helping our clients to deliver sustainable, innovative change that makes a meaningful difference. We will need you to autonomously scope and lead complex programmes for our clients, have proven success in business development with evidence of strong commercial acumen, actively contribute to internal initiatives and develop our team from a skills, experience, and capability perspective. To sustain the growth of our Healthcare subsector we are looking to diversify our footprint into to provider space.  This translates to abundant opportunities to shape the subsector positively for the future, a challenge we want our Directors to meet head on.  While working in a supportive team environment, you will have the confidence and experience to drive our business development activities.  

 

As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be a coach and role-model to colleagues across the UK. You will be working directly with your fellow Directors and Vice President to deliver excellence for our broad range of clients in the central bodies and NHS provider space. There is also the opportunity to work with colleagues from across the Capgemini Group to leverage our combined capabilities and expertise to the benefit of our clients - we often look to synergise our technical expertise (for example, digital and analytics) with the deep sector expertise held in the Public Sector.

As a Director, you help set the direction to drive forward our Healthcare business, model our values and behaviours, and train, coach and mentor junior members of the team.  Key expectations from this role include:  

 

• Developing Capgemini’s impact in the Healthcare sector in the UK – using a combination of our broader pre-existing relationships and your own network to generate sales of £2million per annum
• Helping our clients realise their strategic transformation agenda through leading insight and exceptional delivery. You’ll be up to date on Public Sector trends and issues and a recognised subject matter expert in Healthcare
• Developing deep, trust-based relationships with clients in a sell-deliver-sell-on model
• Bringing the power of the global Capgemini organisation to drive improved account delivery and client success
• Working with the leadership team in the Public Sector, to build the team that will continue to deliver excellence for our clients. This means recruiting, engaging, developing and supporting a diverse team, and role-modelling your passionate focus on delivering the best outcomes for every client

• Collaborating with colleagues in user-centred design, data, strategy, solutions architecture, analytics and AI or our life sciences business to name but a few  
• Support central NHS bodies’ procurement through business case expertise  
• Driving improvement in the Healthcare technology suite by analysing business requirements and user needs, drawing on input from specialist colleagues within your client organisation  
• Supporting strategic decision making by gathering, analysing and communicating data relating to the costs and benefits of delivering various cutting-edge services   
• Sharing your expertise through the creation of thought leadership and knowledge management  
• Supporting Capgemini Invent’s market offerings by writing propositions that reflect our position as a leading public sector management consultancy  

 

Externally in the market, you’ll bring the presence and gravitas to initiate, manage and maintain senior executive relationships. You will understand and scope out their challenges and potential solutions and both sell and deliver high impact consulting and technology-enabled business transformation work.

• A passion for the Public Sector and a keen interest in making a positive difference for society  
• Direct NHS experience at a senior level, including complex delivery (operational and/or clinical) and team leadership  
• A background from a management consulting practice
• Experience of designing and leading large scale, complex programme management and transformation initiatives in the Public Sector  
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, to individuals and groups across the seniority levels of an organisation. All our Healthcare assignments require advanced proficiency in communications, which you will use to illuminate problems, present findings and drive solutions  
• Business development experience including interpreting commercial frameworks, developing Statements of Work, bid writing and resource profiling
• Commercial and risk expertise including Legal, Data Protection and Business Risk Management

 

Desirable  

• Ability to lead toward outcomes based on relevant tools and techniques: such as strategic and/or detailed operating model design, customer journey mapping, process mapping, agile techniques, business architecture, organisation design, organisation sizing, governance, role design or the development of business cases  

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

• Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
• Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
• Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
