Your role

Your role will be impactful as you become an integral part of our Risk Technology team, directly reporting to the leadership team. You will be responsible for performing risk technology selection and implementation projects. You will work with the most innovative technology solutions in the market that are instrumental for the day-to-day Risk Management of our customers. With us, you will conceptualize and implement risk management solutions for our clients, acting as the interface between business and IT. You will take on a variety of challenging tasks, for which we will provide preparation and guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to clients on their risk technology challenges, developing practical solutions, and ensure high-quality work.
  • Involvement in diverse implementation projects in the area of financial risk management tooling (Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, IFRS9, Credit Risk, ESG etc.) with different software tools and vendor solutions. Implement new risk/regulatory requirements in the Risk Management tools of our customers by performing gap assessments, building roadmaps and translating the requirements into working solutions.
    Support Financial risk management process improvement and transformation programs. Organize workshops with the client’s organization to gather, draw analysis and propose solutions for all financial risks and/or regulatory topics.
    Foster a learning culture by facilitating internal and external knowledge sharing sessions, such as round-table discussions, guest lectures, and internal talent training.
  • Support the expansion of our Risk Technology team.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following key assets:

  • A passion for business process improvements, ideally within financial institutions.
  • Pragmatic and solution driven.
  • Motivated to work in diverse environments, in a project setting with different knowledge areas, ranging from risk and finance to data management and IT.
  • Good knowledge of key programming languages (R, Python, Java or Matlab).
  • A drive to optimize processes and related tooling.
  • The ability to explain complex topics in a simple way to different stakeholders.
  • Strong performance in risk technology implementation projects, for example with systems such as Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, SAS IRM/Stratum/Kamakura, QRM or Prometeia.
  • Ambitious and strategic mindset, coupled with excellent leadership skills.
  • A relevant Master’s degree.
  • Proficient communication skills, with fluency in English.

About the Financial Institutions department

Join our international team of over 100 highly qualified Financial Risk Management Consultants with a strong quantitative background (95%). In our team, freedom, responsibility, innovation, fun, teamwork, and flexibility are highly valued. Our current Dutch team consists of 70 consultants and is based in Utrecht. Leveraging the knowledge and experience of about 300 colleagues across our seven Zanders entities.
